Piano Chords

Just to show everyone here what are the piano chords made up of.

Basically all chords are made up of the sound letter eg. CDEFGAB. This will be the root chord, or the tonic, for the scale. Depending if its a minor or a major the third or the mediant will be either 3 or 4 half steps away from the first note. The last note, as to keep this post simple, is normally a fifth or dominant note.

Take a look at this and you will understand better.

I hope you get this clear so that when you actually read music chord sheets or easy sheets, you will understand what it means. There are other more difficult chords, like maj7, sus4, jazz , diminished and augmented chords, which are made up of different key notes. So get your basic right first.
